The middle of the blockboard is a core made of natural wood, and the two sides are glued with very thin veneer. As the name implies, the large core board is one of the most important materials in decoration. Its waterproof and moisture-proof performance is better than that of particleboard and medium density board. In the selection of its internal wood, should not be broken, the gap in about 3mm blockboard is appropriate. Because the wood grain exposed on the surface is not beautiful, it cannot be painted directly, and the veneer plywood is usually pasted. The furniture and other wood ware made of large core board have to go through two processes of gluing board and painting, which is more expensive. The thickness of the core board is different and the price is different. We can choose according to the pressure and strength. The thicker the price, the higher the price.

Many consumers choose the big core board, a look at the weight, two look at the price. In fact, the heavier the core board, the worse the quality. Because the greater the weight, the more it indicates the use of miscellaneous wood. This large core board made of miscellaneous wood cannot be nailed at all, so it cannot be used.

In addition, the price is very low core board, its quality will be very poor. Not the gap is big, is the use of unqualified wood. So when you choose, it is best to choose about 100 yuan a big core board. This price of the big core board, its quality is relatively stable.

The first thing to choose the big core board is to look at the appearance: one side of the big core board must be a whole board, the other side is only allowed to have a flat seam, and the surface must be dry and smooth. In addition, the core board cannot be used as a panel. A layer of plywood should be pasted on the outside as a panel, otherwise problems such as paint blistering will occur.

2 integrated material, not easy to deformation

Due to different processes, this kind of board has superior environmental protection performance. It is 1/8 of the formaldehyde content allowed by the big core board. The price is about 200 yuan each, which is slightly more expensive than the high-grade big core board.

But on the other hand, this kind of plate made of American spruce and other solid wood can be directly colored and painted, which saves a process compared with the big core plate, and finally the construction cost may be the same.

3. The nail holding force of the medium density board is worse than that of the particleboard

Particleboard is a natural wood crushed into particles, pressed into a board, is the main material of the cabinet. MDF is formed by pressing powdered sawdust, which has good flatness but poor moisture resistance.

In contrast, the density board nail holding force is worse than the particleboard, screw tightening if loose, because the strength of the density board is not high, it is difficult to fix, so rarely used to do the cabinet.
